Changing saved network permissions in Windows 7

For security and because I managed to fix some user account issues on my Synology 409+ NAS I decided it was about time to disable the Admin account. Unfortunately username and password details that were prompted for in Windows 7 to access the network folders were saved somewhere in windows and I wasn’t sure exactly where. I managed to find them however, if you go in to your user account area in the control panel and select Manage your credentials as show below

Screen show of the manage your credential option in the user account settings under control panel

This will take you to an area showing all of your cached credentials which will allow you to change or delete them. In my case I updated them and everything is working again.
